I build both simple information websites and dynamic websites that use Content Management Systems so website administrators can easily update the content on their websites. My aim in website design is always to provide clear, easy to navigate and stylish websites. I aim to combine both simplicity and good design.

Before beginning a website I make sure I clearly understand the needs of the client. While building the website I liaise with the client throughout, and once it is finished, I continue to support and maintain the website.

I design websites to comply with the World Wide Web Consortium's Accessibility guidelines, and incorporate the latest design practices. My website design is also tailored to work on mobile phones and other handheld devices. When I design I include Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques so that websites can be more easily found using Google and other search enginesfor specific keywords or phrases. I can provide a website hosting service as well as website statistics.

I use both the Drupal and Joomla content management systems to create most of my websites. These are free (open source) CMSs which are very flexible and powerful. Using Drupal and Joomla I am able to quickly build quite complex websites that can include member areas and the ability to edit and add content throughout the site. It also means adding new features such as forums, blogs, photo galleries and others, is a quick and inexpensive task. In other words creating websites that are future proofed.
